Lightweight Enduro 2-Stroke

Light, powerful and tuned for cross country competition, the YZ250X is Yamaha's ultimate two-stroke woods racer. Powered by Yamaha's legendary 249cc YZ liquid-cooled reed-valve-inducted two-stroke engine, the YZ250X receives a revised compression ratio, revised Yamaha Power Valve System (YPVS) timing and a model-specific digital CDI unit all focused on creating a broad, usable power delivery specifically suited to enduro-style competition.

The ultra-lightweight YZ250-spec frame hits the perfect balance of rigidity and flex, while its best-in-class fully adjustable Speed Sensitive System KYB® spring-type fork and high performance KYB® long-travel rear shock are both tested and tuned specifically for the needs of cross country racers.

Enduro ergonomics

A racy ‘gripper’ type seat and narrow fuel tank combine with a tapered aluminium handlebar and adjustable mounts to create greater freedom of movement and more comfortable ergonomics for riders.

Enduro-specific wheels and tyres

Cross-country-spec Dunlop Geomax MX33 tyres front and rear are ready to head straight to the races. An 18-inch rear tyre has a tall sidewall for improve comfort and reduce pinch flats.

2-stroke power tuned for off-road

Legendary YZ250 249cc liquid-cooled reed-valve-inducted 2-stroke engine - focused on making a wide, controllable power character ideal for off-road racing.

Compact exhaust

The exhaust expansion chamber is designed especially for the YZ250X, and is narrow for clearance on tight, technical trails, while still providing excellent exhaust efficiency.

Industry-leading KYB fork

The fully adjustable KYB 48mm forks now feature tool-free compression adjustment at the top of each fork leg. The Speed-Sensitive System uses piston speed to control the damping force for super-precise handling, superb bump absorption and 300mm of suspension travel.

Cross-country features

The YZ250X is focused on off-road competition and receives an 18-inch rear wheel, wide-ratio gearing - five speed in this case - standard side stand, sealed O-ring chain, reserve fuel petcock, lightweight bar pad, headlight and scraper between the fork's dust and oil seal, all adding up to exciting performance.
